Organising committee
The organising committee (LOC) is made up of two non-profit organisations that have joined forces as organising partners for the Para-cycling World Championships: Isomundo vzw is responsible for the sporting organisation and G-sport Vlaanderen for the extra-sports aspects (communication, activation, hospitality, media...).
Objectives
The organising committee aims to achieve the following objectives:
Increase attractiveness and visibility of Para-ycling and Para-sport in general.
Present Flanders as an accessible and inclusive cycling destination.
Present Flanders as a high level sports region.
Increase sports participation among people with disabilities.
Present Ronse as an inclusive cycling city with a unique location, hospitality, local stories and surprising corners.
Making the social impact of the World Championships felt in Flanders.
Create a legacy with the Worlds and let that connect to society.
Isomundo
Isomundo has been organising a UCI World Cup race in Ostend since 2015 and they were awarded the BID to organise the World Cup in 2025. The organisation has years of experience in organising international G cycling races, with the organisation of the circuit's biggest international World Cup race in 2023 and 2024 as fine highlights. In the last edition, 584 riders from 54 different countries took part.
G-sport Flanders
G-sport Vlaanderen creates opportunities so that all persons with disabilities can enter sports and exercise according to their own needs, abilities and ambitions in a healthy and quality manner. G-sport Vlaanderen, together with all its clubs and members, is a warm and passionate sports organisation for people with a disability, mental health issues or chronic disease. A team of 30 employees and 150 volunteers is daily involved in providing services to more than 130 sports clubs, communities, supporting sports federations and other organisations and the range of activities from A to Z.
